Kahit galit ito sa mga pasaway na police scalawag, bilib pa rin si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Philippine National ­Police (PNP) kahit galit ito sa mga pasaway na police scalawag.

Sa kanyang talumpati sa ika-117 Police Service Anniversary ng PNP sa Kampo Crame, sinabi ng Pangulo na saludo at bilib siya dito dahil sa ginagawang paglilinis sa sariling hanay at pag-aresto sa drug personalities.

Sinabi ni Pangulong Duterte na hindi na­ging sagabal sa kanilang trabaho ang mga police sca­lawag, bagkus ay na­ging maganda ang performance sa paglaban sa kriminalidad at iligal na droga sa nakalipas na dalawang taon.

“Today’s occasion is also a celebration of your success in clean­sing the organization from scalawags who hamper the PNP’s efficiency in performing its mandate to enforce the law and serve our people. Your performance in the past two years speak well of your efforts in institu­ting reforms from within your ranks. Because of your tireless dedication, we have apprehended almost [160,000] illegal drug personalities in the past two years.
