Ito ang naging komento ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. nitong Lunes (October 1) na kanyang reaksyon sa airport incident kung saan si ACTS OFW Party-list Rep. Aniceto “John” Bertiz ay nakita sa CCTV footage na agad kumalat sa social media sa hindi magandang gawi at inasal nito sa isang security officer matapos hindi maghubad ng sapatos na isa sa security protocol.
Ayon pa kay Roque sa isang press briefing na ang Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte nga ay hundi humingi ng kahit anong special treatment, sumasalang din sa airport security scanners katulad ng ibang mamamayan.
“Even the President complies with the security checks of the airport. He goes through the X-ray machine and he does not ask for any special treatment,” ani Roque.
“Ang presidente really insists even if he is in a convoy, even to follow traffic rules and traffic lights. So kung ganyan ang presidente sana lahat po ng opisyales ng bayan ay sumunood po sa ganitong ehemplo,” dagdag ni Roque.
Tinanong ang Palasyo kung nakikita ba nila si Bertiz na isang arogante at ito ang kanyang sagot: “We will issue a statement when we have received the official investigation report. For now, let’s defer any statement and any judgment on the incident.”
